THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN IS MOVING and we need your help! We recently Purchase the property at 394 Champion Drive, Canton. Better known as “The Old EZ Stop”. The 7000sqft building and ample parking is just what we need to grow our ministry and service to those in need in Haywood County. Anyone who has driven by our building during Food Box Distribution, knows just how much we need the increased space and parking.
To make this happen…. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! This is a huge undertaking financially and we cannot do it without your help! Click here to make a financial Contribution to the Building Project

The WHAT’S & the WHY’S
Dinner: In 2015 TCK served 16672 plates total during dinner. This includes seconds and take-outs (often for those that are unable to leave their homes due to health issues, etc) The nightly average of individuals that came to sit for the meal and fellowship was 31 with numbers reaching as high as 60. Our seating capacity is 40. Even more of an issue is our parking. Most nights, patrons park down the streets causing traffic flow issues.
Food Box Distribution: TCK distributes food boxes twice a month. In 2015 TCK handed out 2333 boxes of food. This is a 46% increase from 2014. Distribution occurs the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month from 10am-12pm. An average of 97 boxes are handed out during that time. Parking is not available for those numbers, so cars are lined up and down the streets.
In both programs, there are times that individuals have been unable to find parking and left without the services and help they needed.
